Mae Martin
Mae Martin is Canadian but lives in the UK and she is quite a character! I like how approachable she is, how she includes the audience and their reactions into her set and how she uses some sad or shameful things that happened to her to turn them into a joke. Here is one of her gigs, not necessarily the best one but it will give you a flavor of who she is as a comedian!
She also recently created the Netflix Series “Feel Good” — starring Lisa Kudrow, my favourite — talking about drug addictions, love, gender, sex, relationship to parents, etc. It’s pretty cool!
